The name ‘Muffin’ either comes from the French word ‘moufflet’ meaning a soft bread, or from the German word ‘muffe’ which is the name for a type of cake. In 1970 Frank Brady opened a small diner in Seattle. His home baked muffins soon became a firm favourite with his customers, Moms and school kids queued for his muffins hot  from the oven. Realising he had a winner, he perfected his  recipe and established a thriving “eat as you go” franchise. In 1998 Frank Brady arrived in South Africa and  took our local market by storm. Convenient, great  tasting and available almost everywhere. Is it any wonder that South Africans now eat more than 293 million muffins each year?

At Frank Brady’s, we carry out regular and intensive quality control checks, so that we can ensure that all of our production methods are of the highest standard. So all of our customers can be sure that they are getting the very best Frank Brady’s product.
